Sunset Beach Taxpayers Association

On November 21st, 2017, the Town signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the defendants in the suit in which the Town asserts ownership of part of the proposed Sunset Beach West property. The Memorandum tentatively settles the fate of this property.

Basically, the agreement says that provided the State buys the property

• the Town and the defendants relinquish ownership claims to the property,

• the defendants will be paid for the property, and

• best of all, the property will be preserved in its current state and will never be developed.
